This project case was carried out by Knightec, before Semcon and Knightec joined forces 2024, forming Knightec Group.
Background
Boule, a traditional product development company specializing in hematology, recognized the need to enhance its technological capabilities amidst a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Challenge
The challenge was to integrate digital solutions that could simplify and improve the collection and presentation of instrument data. This transformation was necessary to maintain its competitive edge and improve operational efficiency for both Boule and its customers.
A cloud-based platform.
With Knightec’s expertise, Boule created a cloud-based platform to transform their service offerings. The process began with identifying the core problems, followed by an agile design-driven approach to developing innovative solutions. The work was structured into several phases, starting with a workshop to map out the benefits of digital transformation, followed by an intensive eight-week prototyping and testing period. The culmination of these efforts was the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), which integrated the entire development team and focused on crafting user-centric digital solutions.

Our Approach
The success of this project was driven by a collaborative approach that married Boule’s industry knowledge with Knightec’s digital expertise. By adopting an agile methodology, the team could iterate quickly, adapt solutions in real-time, and ensure that the final product was practical and user-friendly. The early involvement of stakeholders through workshops and continuous testing allowed for the development of a solution that met the needs of Boule’s customers and aligned with industry demands.
Delivered Value
The MVP and subsequent cloud platform development have significantly enhanced Boule’s service capabilities, offering new customer services that improve operational efficiencies. The platform, built on AWS with a robust IoT data pipeline, allows advanced data management and better decision-making processes. Beyond immediate business benefits, Boule’s digital transformation contributes to broader healthcare improvements by ensuring more reliable and efficient hematological services. This leads to better patient outcomes and more streamlined healthcare processes, demonstrating the potential of digital technology to enhance the quality and delivery of medical services.
